EXPECTATIONS: A cross cultural experience EXPENSES: None for the housing, may share some for food. THE HOST: I am a Computer Tech and my mate Chris is a Graphic Artist and are both 35. We publish an electronic magazine from our apartment near Long Island Sound, a one hour commuter train ride from New York City. We are both vegetarians in the home, but I do eat meat outside, Chris does not. He and I are also smokers. We are not drinkers so to speak, but do imbibe on an ocassional basis, usually a drink or two with dinner. We also do not get out too much anymore, as I do not get home from the city (work) until about 6: 30PM, and am up at 5:00 to get some work done with the magazine and it's attendant BBS System. OTHER: Chris and I both enjoy getting out of doors here in southern Connecticut and are members of the Nature Conservancy. I have a pretty keen awareness of New York City, not the bars, clubs and restaurants, but the architectural points as well as the museums, galleries and concert halls, but especially its history, heritage and people. With the exception of Canada and the Caribbean neither he nor I have travelled outside the United States, though we are trying to put together something for September 1993. Target countries include France (I work for Credit Lyonnais USA), Scotland and Wales, Iceland (his choice) and Switzerland (again his choice as he likes things to be orderly and neat).
